Project-based learning: Let’s get real. Consultants rarely possess 100% of the knowledge required for the job, making the application of new knowledge essential. When I use books to improve my knowledge, I follow 4 steps: 1) Identify gaps in knowledge 2) Read related books 3) Write down key points on 2-3 pages (we remember better by writing on paper than by we write on paper). keyboard!) 4) Select the relevant information and add it to the project.
Mentors and special people: For the last 30 years I have had a French mentor who helped me build my confidence by sharing his experience (and friendship!). Mobile learning: Based on neuroscience research, we remember best when we receive small amounts of learning regularly in a way that engages us (questions, for example). Mobile learning can be used to engage learners through simple quizzes (eg Kahoot!) or by focusing on behavior change after learning with apps like Mindmarker.
Social networks: I appreciate the possibilities it offers. But since I’m already busy implementing the previous 9 methods, I don’t have time to use a Facebook account!
